I am a tea drinker...not the type the knows all about tea, but the type that enjoys sitting down with a good hot cup of black tea, sugar, and a touch of lemon. I like green tea and on the right day I like Chai tea.

I also live iced tea. I love starbucks black iced tea. I can go to restaurant, taste their tea, and know whether or not it's starbucks. I like it that much.

But I sat down tonight...in the mood for tea. I don't really have stock handy but I was cold tonight (hubby likes cold house) and so thought a cup of hot tea while watching TV and going online would be a nice treat....but blech...didn't like it. Maybe need to freshen up on some new tea...

So if you are a tea drinker I'd love to hear what you drink, why you like, how you like it, and how you prepare it?

i.e. brands, sugar, milk, heat up a cup in the microwave then dip the bag?, boil water on stove then put the bag, only use loose leaves?

Or...maybe you just drink coffee?? :)

I am a coffee drinker in the mornings but love hot tea in the afternoon. Salada is the house tea of choice milk and sugar. Sweet tea in the South when I am there is my drink at the pool or beach and I laugh when I order tea out as they don't expect you yo say hot tea. I like green tea with honey. I have a few specialty teas by celestial and Yogi but only drink them in the winter for some reason. If I am sick throat coat by Yogi tea is the BEST, I feel teas are medicinal for some reason and should drink more green tea during the day. There is a tea store at a plaza in Braintree that sells loose teas which are a favorite with Jimmy.

Coffee drinker in the morning, altho right now, I made some iced coffee. I like teas in the winter, usually the Twinings Earl Gray, Black Current, there's also a raspberry tea I like.

I only drink tea when I'm feeling a little off. Coffee is my hot beverage of choice, or prolly more honestly, need as I fear I am addicted. I use Tetley tea altho I don't know if I could tell the difference if it was Salada or some other brand. I also like Celestial herbal teas. Blueberry is especially nice.

I think that tea MUST be made in a pot. I can taste the difference if it's made in a cup.

Coffee in the morning, unless I feel like hot tea, then its lipton with honey. Lipton ice tea during the day, esp with the hubby he drinks 2 bottles a day of it. Sometimes I have Good Earth, Bigelow green tea and others, Tazo Chai or the flavored Lipton's. Also found a pomegranate white tea by Fresh and Easy.

I have always been a coffee in the morning person, but I have found lately (since spring) that I am preferring tea more and more. In fact I haven't had a cup of coffee in over a week now. Hadn't realized that til now!

I love Lipton iced tea, drink it by the gallon all summer. (maybe that's why coffee isn't tasting right...)
I brew the iced tea from tea bags (Lipton) and make a big jug and make it strong with some quartered lemons in the jug. Then I just pour over ice all day. I can't stand Nestea.....

For hot tea, I've enjoyed Ashby's lately. The Japanese Green Tea and the Earl Grey. Chamoumille in the evenings. I used the loose tea until recently and have been using the bags. I switched when we started travelling so much in the motorhome. The caffeine never seems to bother me in the evenings either, whether its coffee or tea.

I've never tried milk or sugar in my tea. Maybe I should give that a try though. I just never had, perhaps because my mom didn't use either??

I bought a French Press for coffee this past spring. Does anyone else use one?

I have been brewing my own ice tea, Luzianne brand (sp?) and love it with stevia for a sweetner. For a hot tea I like the fruits mostly, especially orange spice and I think the brand is Bigelow. I buy lots of types, or should I say my daughter does, and try a lot of different ones. I used to drink green tea with milk and sugar as a child growing up. It was the way grandma made it for me;) I like sleepytime in the winter to ease me into bed sometimes. I prefer bags myself and I prefer to boil the water rather than nuke it. Seems to stay hot longer.
